It’s important to know every part of your inhaler

Dose Indicator

Attached to the top of the pressurised canister.

Pressurised canister (inside)

Holds the medicine.

Actuator

Contains the pressurised cannister.

Mouthpiece

Sprays the medicine.

Mouthpiece cover

Protects the mouthpiece when the inhaler is not in use.

Using your inhaler2

STEP

1

Remove the mouthpiece cover by squeezing both sides and pulling out.

STEP

Shake the inhaler well before each puff.

STEP

Then press to spray 1 test-puff facing away from you. Repeat these steps 3 more times for a total of 4 test-puffs, shaking before each test-puff.

Do not skip priming, extra puffs are provided for priming.

Remove the mouthpiece cover by squeezing both sides and pulling out. Check the mouthpiece for foreign objects before use.

Shake the inhaler well, breathe out fully, then place the mouthpiece into your mouth. Close your lips around the mouthpiece.

 

Start breathing in deeply and slowly while taking in 1 puff. Keep breathing in until you can’t anymore.

 

Hold your breath for as long as you can, up to 10 seconds. Exhale your breath slowly through your nose..

Repeat Step 2 

for a second puff

Put the mouthpiece cover back on.

STEP

Rinse your mouth with water, then spit out the water. Do
not swallow.

 

Reminder: BREZTRI is taken twice a day.

Remove the canister and set it aside. Do not let the canister get wet.

STEP

Remove the mouthpiece cover by squeezing both sides and pulling out.

STEP

Run warm water through the top of the mouthpiece for 30 seconds, then through the top of the actuator for 30 seconds. That's 60 seconds in total.

Shake off as much water as you can. Do not dry with a towel or tissue.

STEP

Look into the actuator and the mouthpiece for any medicine build-up. If there is any build-up, repeat steps 3–5.

Let the actuator air-dry, such as overnight. Do not put the canister back into the actuator if it is still wet.

When dry, replace the mouthpiece cover first, then gently press the canister down into the actuator.

STEP

8

Prep your inhaler by spraying 2 test-puffs. Shake before
each test puff.
